Acumen Design Inc. was founded in 1999 as an engineering consulting firm specializing in telecommunications, consumer electronics, and integrated circuit design. Our projects range from identifying new markets for existing products, to detailed design and verification of complex systems.

We are focused on three key concepts:

• System Thinking - the ability to see the interconnected nature of complex problems in order to create innovative solutions.
• Collaboration - the desire and ability to work effectively with people in both complementary and tangential disciplines.
• Responsible Design - using technology to meet human interests while preserving the ability of other species to meet theirs.

Recognizing that current world problems can't be solved with the same mindset that created them, we have established academic and high-tech corporate partnerships to promote math and science education and inspire technical creativity and innovation in our youth.
